We just graduated a fire recruit class of 32 to the field. It was my first class as an instructor at the training academy. I gave out six of these to recruits that persevered and stood the course. From deaths in the family, divorces, and injuries to births, engagements, moving from other states, and outstanding leadership qualities, these recruits, in my opinion, adapted and overcame the most.
